Overview

Are you seeking a short, lower altitude trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal? Then we may have the best option for you. Malaika Travel recommends the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek. Though it is a lower altitude excursion, you will still have a chance to enjoy the panoramas of 8000 metre peaks, lush forests, traditional villages, and blooming rhododendrons in the spring.

The Ghorepani Hill Trek begins in Nayapul, which is about an hour long drive away from Pokhara. This trip is also famous for being an Annapurna sunrise/panorama trek, which is suitable for the whole family. The lower Annapurna paradise can be explored during the trek. As you ascend to Ulleri, you have a view of Himchuli. The trek goes through the rhododendron forests. Ghorepani is located beneath Poon Hill. About an hour away from Ghrepani is Poon Hill. Poon Hill offers a great sunrise view as well as the spectacular views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail, Himchuli and Manaslu. Ghandruk is another stunning village with panoramas of dense Gurung settlements, terraced farmlands and Gurung ethnic culture. Himchuli and Annapurna in the background draw your attention to the gorgeous wonders. To enjoy the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek, feel free to contact Malaika Travel.
