Day to day itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Charaundi

We’ll leave Kathmandu at about 6 am and drive approximately 4.5 hrs to Charaundi, which is our rafting departure point. After the crew assembles the raft, they will explain the safety equipment and the proper procedures needed for rafting. You will run a number of rapids, with rates of 2 to 3. In the afternoon, you will have lunch on a beach known for its unique sculptured boulders. Shortly after lunch, you will enter the Trishuli gorge. The nature around the river and the surroundings are tremendously interesting and beautiful. We will camp on the beach in Kurintar, along the Trishuli Valley. Everyone is welcome to help our crew with the camp chores. Once the tents are pitched, a savoury dinner will be prepared over stoves and there will be singing, dancing and playing games. Overnight, you’ll stay at the camp.

Day 2: Rafting and drive back to Kathmandu

After breakfast, we will continue down the Trishuli. We’ll spend the whole day within its forested canyon, which is one of many in the Mahabharat range. In the afternoon, we’ll eat lunch beside the river and we will also have some time to bird watch, take photographs and learn about the local people and their culture. The area is inhabited mostly by people of Magars and Gurung ethnicity. We will then end the river trip and drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight, you’ll stay at a hotel.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Last Resort for bungee jumping

Early in the morning on the next day, you will drive to Last Resort for an ultimate bungee jumping experience over the Bhotekoshi River. After a briefing on arrival and some preparation, we’ll do the jump and then drive back to Kathmandu. This is a short day trip. We’ll return back to Kathmandu in the evening.
