Overview

The Mardi Himal Trek (20 km away from Pokhara) is a recently opened trekking route that exposes the hidden treasure of the Annapurna region.  Situated east of the Annapurna Base Camp, this peak is 4250 meters high. The first ascent of this peak happened in 1961. This short but spectacular trek offers jaw dropping views, breath-taking glacial valleys and the hidden landscapes of Annapurna. This peak is less popular with tourists and it is probably one of the least visited trekking peaks of Nepal. The southern part of Mardi Himal is covered with bamboo and rhododendron forests along with beautiful valleys and ridges. From the top of this peak, you can witness dazzling views of mountain vistas like Fishtail, Annapurna and Hiunchuli Himal.

This adventurous trek begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara and then we will head towards Phedi. From Phedi, our trail continues up to Mardi Himal where we will summit the peak and return back. During the trail, we will go through beautiful forests of rhododendrons and mind blowing views of Himalayan vistas will be with us throughout whole trek. Upon reaching the high camp, we will take some rest. From the high camp, we will move up to the base camp of Mardi Himal from where we can see the entire Annapurna range. Mardi Himal Trek is the ideal choice for those who want to experience a short trek decorated full of nature. Though this trek is short, you should still have good physical fitness.
