Accommodations as indicated in each itinerary, based on either twin-bedded rooms or double bed rooms (or tents where applicable).
Meals as indicated in each itinerary, and domestic bottled water with group meals.
Arrival and departure transfers and all other land transport.
For Kilimanjaro and other trips: Services of professional and licensed English speaking guides (or other specified International languages speaking guides), skilled cook, and enough number of porters for carrying your luggage, food, and water.
For safaris: Services of English speaking driver guide (or other specified International languages speaking guide), and a skilled cook for camping safari.
Entrance fees to National Parks, game reserves and museums, and ALL other applicable fees and taxes.

Not included in quoted tour prices

Costs of passports or visas; excess baggage charges; travel insurance; airfares and airport departure taxes (unless explicitly stated); sightseeing, game drives or meals not listed in the itinerary; personal expenses such as beverages, (other than bottled water as noted in Tour Inclusions), laundry, communication charges, and gratuities.

Reservations and Payments

A deposit of 30% per person is required at the time you book. The rest payment of the price of your trip is due 90 days prior to your departure date. Accepted methods of payments to our booking office include wire transfer or credit card. If you paying with a Credit/Debit card a surcharge of 4% applies. We will accommodate last minute reservations when possible.

Cancellations

Prior to tour departure all cancellations must be in writing. Malaika Travel will retain a percentage of the trip cost dependent upon the receipt date of the cancellation notice. If the trip is cancelled:

91 days or more before departure: Cancellation fees equal the amount of your deposit
90 to 61 days before departure: 50% of the package price is non-refundable
60 to 46 days before departure: 65% of the package price is non-refundable
45 days or less before departure: 100% of the package price is non-refundable

Within 90 days prior to departure cancellation fees will apply. You may also be responsible for any fees imposed by hotels, airlines etc., that are over and above your land arrangements, due to your cancellation of your original date bookings.

Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.

 

Guest Representation and Consent

The person making a booking with us, warrants that they have authority to enter into a contract on behalf of all other persons included in such a booking.
The payment of the deposit or any other partial payment for a reservation on a tour constitutes a consent by all guests covered by that payment to all provisions of the Terms and Conditions contained herein whether the guest has signed the contract or not.

Alterations to tours

Malaika Travel reserves the right to alter or modify the itinerary of any tour, if air schedule or surface transportation changes, security matters and/or events beyond its control make such alterations necessary.

Right to Subcontract

Malaika Travel shall have the right to subcontract any of its services to a third party service provider in its sole discretion.

Accommodations

Accommodations and arranged sightseeing are subject to change at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond Malaika Travel control. Every effort will be made to operate tours as planned, but alterations may occur after the final itinerary has been issued.

Baggage

Baggage and personal effects are at owners risk throughout the tour. Luggage weight restrictions on some internal flights may apply; details will be provided on your itinerary.

Increase in cost

Tour costs quoted are current and are subject to change should there be any increases related to national park fees, lodging rates, governmental fees and taxes, internal airfare, airport taxes, visa fees, third party services or any other circumstance beyond our control.

Claims and Refunds

Except for verifiable extenuating circumstances, refunds are not made for any missed tour services. There will not be any refund if you cancel the tour that is in progress. Please see our Limits on Responsibility. For verifiable claims to be considered, they must be received in writing within 45 days of the termination of the tour and be accompanied by supporting statement from the Tour Operating Company verifying the claim.

Malaika Travel Responsibility

Malaika Travel and its employees, do not own or operate any entity which is to or does provide goods or services for your trip, including, for example, lodging facilities, transportation companies, including without limitation, various entities which may be affiliated with Malaika Travel and/or which may utilize the Malaika Travel name, guides, food and drink service providers, equipment suppliers, etc. As a result, Malaika travel is not responsible for any negligent or wilful act or failure to act of any person or entity it does not own or control, nor for any act or inaction of any other third party not under its control.

In addition and without limitation, Malaika Travel is not responsible for any injury, loss, death, inconvenience, delay or damage to personal property in connection with the provision of any goods or services whether resulting from but not limited to or force majeure, disease, illness, acts of war, civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, strikes or other labour activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of services, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, food poisoning, mechanical or other failure of aircraft or other means of transportation or for failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time.

By participating in any activity by Malaika Travel, the participant agrees that the photos and videos taken may be used for marketing purposes.
